Diane Young

Founder & Executive Director

NuWave Leadership Academy

With over 20 years of experience teaching at both the high school and college levels, Diane Young has worked directly with students navigating the critical transition from secondary education into adulthood. Through her academic leadership and classroom experience, she observed a consistent gap — students often graduate academically prepared yet lack structured guidance in pathway clarity, professional readiness, and decision-making confidence.

NuWave Leadership Academy was established to address that gap.

As Founder & Executive Director, Diane leads the development of a competency-based leadership credential designed to strengthen student persistence and postsecondary alignment across college, technical, and workforce pathways. Her work integrates instructional design, measurable outcomes, and institutional partnership to ensure students graduate not only with knowledge but with direction.

Why Leadership & Transition Matter - The transition from high school to postsecondary life requires more than academic preparation. Students need structured guidance in decision-making, pathway clarity, and professional readiness to navigate adulthood successfully. NuWave Leadership Academy provides a competency-based leadership framework that strengthens student persistence and post-secondary alignment before graduation.

Advisory & Strategic Partners - NuWave Leadership Academy is committed to building collaborative partnerships with educators, district leaders, workforce professionals, and community stakeholders who share a commitment to strengthening student transition outcomes.

As the Academy expands, an advisory network will provide strategic guidance in curriculum development, postsecondary alignment, workforce trends, and institutional scalability. These partnerships ensure that the Academy remains responsive to evolving educational standards and workforce demands.
